Release of Provisional Selection List (Chemistry)
The Board had issued notification No.10/2019, dated 12.06.2019 for the Direct Recruitment for the post of Post Graduate Assistants / Physical Education Directors Grade-I - 2018-2019. As per the said notification Board conducted written competitive examination from 27.09.2019 to 29.09.2019 and exam result was published on 18.10.2019 and 21.10.2019. The Board conducted certificate verification for the shortlisted candidates in1:2 ratio on 08.11.2019 and 09.11.2019.
The provisional selection list of 329 candidates for the subject Chemistry was published on 20.11.2019. After the publication of result, some of the candidates filed Writ Petitions (W.P.No. 34099/2019 and batches) before the Hon’ble High Court of Madras challenging the selection procedure. The Hon’ble High Court allowed the Writ Petition and the Writ Appeal No. 419 of 2020 filed by the Board in the said Writ Petitions was also dismissed by the Division Bench of the Hon’ble High Court of Madras. The Board filed SLP before the Hon’ble Apex Court and the Hon’ble Apex Court in Civil Appeal No. 3745 – 3754/2020, I.A No. 117448 of 2020 ordered to operate the provisional selection list for the Chemistry Subject.
In compliance with the order of the interim direction of the Hon’ble Apex Court in Civil Appeal No. 3745-3754 of 2020, I.A No. 117448 of 2020, the Board has decided to reserve 10 seats and release the provisional selection for the remaining vacancies in the subject Chemistry and the selection would abide by the Judgement to be delivered by the Hon’ble Apex Court in the above said Civil Appeal.
